The Port Authority and Port Authority (KSOP) Class III Labuan Bajo have suspended the diploma of the captain of KM Budi Utama for one year. The ship sank south of Padar Island, Komodo National Park, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on June 22, 2024. Stephanus Risdiyanto, Head of the Labuan Bajo Class III KSOP, stated that the administrative sanction was due to discrepancies in the passenger manifest.
