Hence, it seems to be less meaningful to visit overcrowd tourist attractions. Some of the most overrated travel destinations in the world The best way to enjoy a trip is not through a camera but through your own eyes. Meanwhile, visiting an overrated tourist attraction won’t let you see the place clearly because everywhere you see is heads of people. Also, most popular tourist attractions are oversubscribed, overpriced, and overrated. Here are some of the most overrated tourist attractions you might want to know: The Statue of Liberty, New York City The Statue of Liberty in New York City, USA is an iconic monument that symbolizes historical meanings. However, many visitors found it disappointing because it doesn’t really bring out a meaningful experience. If you insist to have a picture of the statue. Might as well take the free State Island Ferry from Manhattan to Staten Island to see stunning view of the New York Bay. You will also get to see the Statue of Liberty and take pictures of it while on board. The Astronomical Clock, Prague, Czech Republic The Astronomical Clock in Prague is just well, a clock. Located in beautiful Old Town Prague. This is the third oldest astronomical clock in the world so maybe that’s what is interesting about it. However, you may find it less interesting when you see the huge crowds swelling at the base of the clock every hour in preparation for the bell to chime. And that’s what this attraction is about. So you decide whether or not you need to visit the place and deal with the crowds. The Louvre Museum, Paris, France This place is considered overrated because most people who come to visit only aim to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa painting and that’s it. You have to pay a considerable entrance fee for a small painting to see it. The most annoying part is probably when you are trying to see the small painting then tons of other tourists innocently blocking your view. You may end up watching the heads of other tourists instead. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Los Angeles, USA This place is so popular, but you may get disappointed once you get there. No glamour you will find on this famous street. Located in the heart of the City of Angels, this place is just an ordinary street with huge crowds taking pictures of the sidewalk. Maybe you will be entertained by celebrity impersonators hanging out around the place. Don’t expect to spot any real celebrities because you will only find other tourists cluelessly taking pictures.
